Gujarati QWERTY Layout

Introduction

This program adds a new QWERTY layout (Similar to the one available on Mac OS X) for windows. It is specially easy for people who wish to use the gujarati keyboard for casual use.

Note: I have MANUALLY copied all the keys from Mac OS X layout to Windows Layout. Please shoot an email to qwerty_at_dwipal_dot_com if you find any errors.

Quick Installation Instructions

  1. Make sure you have installed the required fonts ( Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options -> Languages Tab -> Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages ) should be checked.
  2. Download the layout installer using this link.
  3. Unzip the files, and run the installer (Its a .msi file)
  4. Now you will have the Gujarati - QWERTY keyboard layout available when you select Gujarati as the Keyboard Language. You will have to enable the “Language Bar” so you can select the input language by clicking a button. This can be enabled by checking ( Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options -> Languages Tab -> Details -> Language Bar -> Show Language Bar on the Desktop ) checkbox.

Standard:
Gujarati QWERTY Layout

With Shift Pressed:
Gujarati QWERTY Layout

With Ctrl+Shift Pressed
Gujarati QWERTY Layout

With Alt+Ctrl Pressed
Gujarati QWERTY Layout
